Small Business Saturday, and the Wisdom of Fortune Cookies

I was going to make a post about Small Business Saturday because I have some of the best customers, who happen to be friends. This job wouldn’t be possible without their support, guidance, respect and most of all insight when I need it most.

You’d be amazed at what you can learn from customers and projects. Kids and adults alike have some of the best one-liners that can hit the heart strings, or make you laugh til you burst.

Speaking of friends, I got to hang out with one, meet someone new, and then meet another woman who told me all about her world travels. It was exactly what I needed to hear after the news I received this week. Don't worry it's not earth stopping news, everyone is ok, no one is hurt, it's job related.

I was debating going because I really wanted to work on my website, the weather wasn’t looking too amazing, I’m getting things reorganized, with new sections and all to beef up my portfolio. Anyways, Melanie suggested I eat a fortune cookie and let fate decide. Queue, “The Matrix” Oracle and Neo with the cookies.

Well, I followed what the fortune cookie suggested and I wasn’t let down today. Sometimes it pays to eat a fortune cookie!
