PERSONAL COMMENTS
I would be remiss to say this project didn't change my view on how I can offer my services. It opened my eyes up in new ways to how I can help other communities, other downtown orgs, and tourism boards. Video is helpful, but people love a good photo too. Your photography is not an afterthought, it’s an asset.
I found many of the businesses also had regular customers of their own who were willing to be models too and involve themselves in showing off our community off in a positive way. In some cases I was able to line up strangers together for the first time and found them leaving as friends.
When that wasn’t the case, I was able to utilize the power of social media to get models and connections throughout the community who had an intimate knowledge and love for the community already. The people involved were naturals in front of the camera, but at the same time because I was there interacting and capturing the scene as if I was a part of the scene it brought out the authentic nature of everyone I was with.
Below are examples of the shots from throughout the district.
In order of photos, my suggestion check out the following places when you're in the Downtown Green Bay area next time. There's something for everyone.
